Actuality 2004 at Texbosa

Fruit of the work in 2003, we can announce the best improvements in the first half of 2004.

As always these contributions have as an objective improve the adaptation to the market of our customers. Without them Texbosa wouldn’t have reason to exist.

  • We have recently started with a new planning program.
  • We have incorporated a Martindale device in our laboratory.
  • We have improved the acoustic work conditions and room temperature.

In consequence of these actions:

From June ’04 the production management gets the information in an automate way and immediately from the commercial department. The transmission of the information on paper will be also operative, but any department will have to wait the previous one to be able to foresee its resources needs.

A common computer program does this transmission in double way, giving an important saving of time and a increasing of the control and the conscience to both departments and it is especially healthy and positive.

We can offer to our customers the guarantee of a certain abrasion degree (resistance of 5/10/25/30 mil cycles Martindale...); this is especially interesting in outer items.

With this analysis we can assure that the outer fabric will have the life desired.

We have installed a frequency alter to the turbine in our furnace of printing and drying. Also 5 meters of the furnace have been insulated to avoid the irradiation. This change allows us to work in better work conditions of temperature and noise than last summer. This is a measure with profound effects in all levels that we are especially satisfied.

Perfection does not exist but improving does, this progress in our system generate a better improving of service to our customers and an extension of the possibilities of our products.

Design – April 2004

Texbosa starts a main creative activity.

In the last Iberpiel edition in Madrid these sleepers were launched with a design of Texbosa

The instep of these sleepers is made with two fabrics united with latex. Upper fabric is printed with a high-resolution four printing. The fabrics have been chosen, bearing in mind, the task to develop, guaranteeing the resistance or the printing quality.

The technical contribution is added to the knowledge of this sector and its tendencies previously shared with the client. Thanks to this coordination, our client obtains more value in only one deal:

A part of having a fabric technically right, obtains a perfect outer appearance appropriated for its selling project.

In this project, our customer has got the option to acquire the copyright produced and managed by Texbosa.

So our customer saved the risk of working with originals with doubt origin and / or doubtful property.

To sum up: the design and production structures coincide each other and they are coordinated to obtain first textile fabrics with the image and the design desired with full guarantee of copyright.

Tendencies on our sector

We are a textile company and we are specialized in the Leather industry. Our staff are 18 people and recently we have taken the necessary steps to have a management gestion in the quality ISO 9001/2000.

It’s no difficult to see that leather goods with an important labour component have the tendency to be delocated.

This concept has been enough extend to know that it’s no necessary an analytical exposition about the total annual increasing of the items exported “made in China” on a worldwide level, or about the number of European manufacturers desapeared in Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy...etc.

What is important to say is how the internal production of this sector is developing in the European countries.

We can see as items “made in CE” are still being produced in Europe thanks to a increasing demand in specifications and technical controls and a fast updating and a constant trend. Both criteria ( Quality and Speed) allows to keep the production activity in this sector and also to keep the “know how” and the relief generation to generation.

As the speed and the quality also develop in the rest of the world through logistic operators, telecommunication systems and modern manufacture systems, new items “design in CE” are appearing so that Europe is still selling its product thanks to the selection work of the raw materials and the prototype design, in this case the management is sold and the trade culture weaken.

In any case, bearing this in mind, the part of main concern to us is better to supervise rather than being actors of the process.

Many companies have kept its turnover giving part of the business to the commercialition. This takes them to a bigger marketing action, approaching its product to more specific groups.

So more and more specifications, more control and more quality are required.

Also punctuality concepts, product presentation, after-sales service, and the satisfaction of the customer are growing in importance. In the prospect of this situation that is lasting five years ago, we write this article to bring closer the concepts of ISO 9000/2000, Total management of the quality, Systems to improve constantly, Managerial excellence...Sometimes we think that they are relevant and advisable for the sector.

Due to the whole spectrum distribution of small companies, the leather industry lives in a paradox where it’s considered that the product is a “Quality Product”, but if we go through the production line, we find some important gaps in the control of it.

We have recently introduced a system to guarantee the quality ISO 9001/2000, and despite of the work and effort we have done, we believe that is completely advisable and viable for small companies from 10 workers. Consequently, this will improve the business and relationship with our customers.
